The Exorcist - 2000
This was an incredible opportunity. First of all, I had never seen The Exorcist in a theater. Always I’ve been sitting in my bed room, and if got to be too much, I could always turn off the TV.
Watching with a group of people was both comforting and unnerving.
The laughter from the crowd was a little surprising, yet understandable. It was a great way to relieve the tensions that was
building in all of us. The author was at this screening, and he stated that we were just a weird crowd.
The added scenes blended well with the film. I had a hard time picking some of them out. By
the time this in theaters the “spider walk” that Linda Blair does down the stairs will most likely become infamous. It’s quite creepy.
I know there was also an extra scene with the doctor. It
helps to explain what is going on. It also provides much of the humor, mainly because the audience knows what is going to happen.
I highly recommend everyone going to see this film while it is in
a theater near you.
