Saving Silverman

A warning to all who have seen the previews and found them hysterical: You've just seen the movie. No need to shell out any additional money to see the really boring, stupid and inane parts thrown in.

I was very disappointed in this film. From the previews I'd seen I was expecting a laugh-a-minute, knee-slapping good time. Not so. Every funny part in the movie I'd already seen in the previews. Some of those weren't even as funny when taken in context with the story. The rest was a not funny stab at film making. The biggest disappointment had to be Jack Black, or rather, what they wouldn't let Jack Black be. I have found him very funny in the past. This time I don't think he was used to his full potential.

I'd give this film a definite pass in the theaters. I have read that the DVD will be funnier (they had to edit to keep a PG 13 rating.) I'm not sure that's possible.
