Sheila's Review
A Joel Schumacher masterpiece of suspense starring the Irish born Colin Farrell as Stuart Shepard, a wheeling and dealing celebrity publicist who finds himself held up in a phone booth by a crazed sharp shooter who wants Shepard to mend his evil ways.
Farrell gives a brilliant performance as he goes from the fast talking publicist to an emotional mess fearing for his life and the lives of those around him. Forest Whitaker is also fabulous as the gentle giant police captain with a heart. Keifer Sutherland is the voice of the sharp shooter with many psychological problems.
This film was shot in 10 days on 5th street in LA with some shots of NY thrown in. 5th street was made to look like a New York street and it did. A lot of post production work was done to bring the scenes to life. At a cost of only 1.5 million to make, this movie is sure to bring a profit to its makers.
A great movie to catch as soon as it hits the theatres.

Trixie's Review
This is one of my favorites from this year's Film Festival. This quick paced drama played out in a New York City phone booth kept me engaged throughout the film. Kiefer Sutherland was compelling as the off-camera voice of a serial killer. It was a perfect example of what a great actor he is. Colin Farrell brilliantly broke down from a cocky PR guy to just a regular Joe who isn't perfect and must admit his sins with the world (and his wife) watching. I'd say this is definitely a movie to catch when it plays near you.
Joel Schumacher entertained the crowd, not only with this film, but with his subsequent Q and A. It was interesting to learn that the shoot took just 10 days, and for such a low budget. But not as interesting as when he was asked if he would answer a question honestly. His response: "I was a drug addict in the 60's, 70's and 80's, so yes - I did it - whatever it was. And if I didn't, I wanted to so I'm guilty anyway."
